It almost seems anti climatic around here this morning. Without the rush to get a sale announced for the 12 days of Christmas, I was left to get orders ready for shipping. That in itself is not leisurely, by any means.
The Christmas rush is definitely on and this year the hot item in my shop has been the wire name necklaces. It seems like I get one done and 2 more orders come in. I am so very thankful for all my customers, and soon I will have to make the call to not accept any more orders.
That’s always a tricky call for custom items. One wants to grab all the business possible during the holiday season The fine line is knowing when to stop accepting orders so as to insure every customer gets their gifts before the big day. I cringe when I see post from sellers who bit off more than they could chew. And I always think “how can you let people down like that?”
Word of mouth is your best or your worst advertisement. Ten happy customers will bring in 20 more; ten unhappy customers will scare away 300!
